DOPE Deck Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
DOPE Deck is an iPhone app for storing and displaying your own rifle data: DOPE tables, wind holds, logs, and ammo records. It is built to keep that data on your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. DOPE Deck has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The developer never receives your data.
Where your data lives
- Everything you enter (rifle profiles, DOPE tables, loads and ammo records, logs, load tests, settings) is stored only on your iPhone.
- Backups are files you choose to save or share yourself, for example to the Files app or iCloud Drive. Where they go is up to you.
- Files, screenshots, and photos you import are read on your phone to pull out the numbers. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Bluetooth
If you connect a DOPE Deck display, the app sends your DOPE and wind call to it over Bluetooth. That data goes only to the deck you connect. Bluetooth permission is requested only when you tap Connect.
Motion sensors
If you tap "Read iPhone Barometer," the app reads your phone's barometer to work out station pressure for density altitude. The reading is used on your phone only and is not stored or shared beyond the weather values you save.
TestFlight
If you test DOPE Deck through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with the developer, under Apple's privacy policy. DOPE Deck itself adds nothing to that.
Children
DOPE Deck is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If DOPE Deck ever starts collecting data, this page will say exactly what and why before it happens.
